About Profile Painting

Profile Paint was founded in 1992 by Robert Rodriguez. Robert took the time to research the craft, school himself, and develop his own techniques for: oil and latex base painting techniques, sheet rock, ceiling repairs, and textures. He had a one year apprenticeship with Ron's Paint Company in Allen, Texas, then ventured out on his own. Robert's training continued at Martin Allan Hirsch Faux School in Louisville, Kentucky, 1999, and artist antiquing at Nicola Vigini Studios in San Antonio, Texas, 2004.
He's worked on the Hirsh Estate (Louisville, Kentucky), Reba McEntire's TV Starstruck Studios (Nashville, Tennessee), Vartech Hunter Lodge (Glen Rose, Texas), Ford Estate (Dallas, Texas), and projects with Sherwin William's paint stores. Robert honed so much into his craft that he can design a paint before it gets matched at the paint store. He also designs his own custom wall glaze colors and guarantees the colors to be exact.

"In recent years, the craft has been losing grip. There are very few painters left. But craftsmanship will be the only thing that separates the pro painter from want-to-be. As a crafted painter, quality should be ruled greater than the reward, always."
- Robert Rodriguez
